My First at Wink Laser & Wax Studio

We all have our firsts! As for me, this was the first time I visited a laser and wax studio. A friend convinced me to try and since my office is near Bonifacio High Street, I didn’t have a hard time looking for the place.

From the moment I entered the door, I knew the WINK LASER & WAX STUDIO was haven. Super friendly staff, clean place and quiet venue.

I told myself I will go for eyebrow cleaning only (since I am not really sure if I can handle a Brazilian wax, haha). So how was my experience? Read ahead!

Venue: Clean and sterile which should be the case for all Laser and Wax Studio. The interiors were simple and well-lighted.

Staff: All very friendly and they never fail to explain the steps, they were very knowledgeable about what they were doing. I appreciate this since being a first timer, I really do not have any idea where to start and what’s gonna happen next. Being told what the steps were made me comfortable.

Procedure: Eyebrow cleaning was great! My brows do not have a perfect shape at all that’s why I was so happy after the procedure. Finally! My brows were shaped evenly. That’s not the end of it though, I asked Camz (the lady who assisted me) how painful a Brazilian wax is. She said if my pain tolerance is high, I can definitely handle it. So, I gave it a try. Results! I was more than satisfied and I have no regrets that I gave it a go. What’s even more surprising is that they will check up on you after a few days. I got a text message from them with information on what to do after the waxing service. That’s what I call pure customer service! 🙂

Final verdict: Though it’s my first try, I will never look for another place that offers the same services like Wink Laser & Wax Studio. Giving them a whooping 5/5 stars! Visit the place now 🙂 See rates below and do not forget to like their Page in Facebook. Say goodbye to those hairs!

Weekly Photo Challenge: Geometry

Most of us associate geometry with buildings and structures, I do too. But when I looked around my room, I know I have a share of geometry and that would be my earrings collection! Can’t remember how many pairs I got, from the last time I counted it was more than 200. 🙂

Some of my fave, choose from circles, stars, squares, inverted triangles and more circles. Forgive me and my undying vanity ♥

6th out of 10 mornings before I turn 27 : CURLS

My hair color is brown-black and very straight, I receive a lot of compliments because of it. Growing up, I remember saying to myself that I will never do anything to my hair so as not to damage its natural beauty. As time went by, I wanted to change my look, my hair became one of my sweetest revenge.

Now I am thinking if I should switch again to curls coz’ I kinda miss it, besides it is free because for the past two times I curled my hair permanently, my grandma did it, so proud of her!

My old reggae dress

I am now officially missing my REGGAE DRESS that I have bought from Puerto Galera. When my sister Jolly came back to visit from the U.S. she traded this one with a pink maxi dress which is fine. BUT NOW, I am wondering if I can ever see another one like this in the market. I guess I can accept the fact that it does not belong to me after all in exchange of buying a swimsuit from the Zion Roots Wear Clothing Line under Cedella Marley’s Collection. Honestly, I freaked out when I first saw the site, I messaged my sister if she can buy me one, and until now she has not responded. So to end my desperation, I need to write in order for me to release the “any moment I will have that thing excitement phase”. Addicted to shopping? Yes!

O for Organized Accessories!

Imagine yourself all dressed up, only accessories missing and you can’t seem to find your favorite silver hoop earrings. You feel like dying any moment since your date is outside waiting. Well, fret no more… I found out a simple way of organizing all your “kikay” stuff. Name it, earrings, anklets, necklaces, bangles and bracelets, you can place them all here and do not need to worry about searching next time. Got this Two-Sided Organizer Hangs from OneOfAKind for P160.00 a piece and thankfully she is a good friend of my sister Lily Rose and she just lives near me so we just met the other day (no more additional costs for the shipping, yes!). Do not forget to check our her other items, earrings, rings and necklaces because they are cheaper compared to other online shops. So that’s a hint, do not waste your time browsing other accessory sites, JUST LET GO AND BUY! In the end, it does not feel guilty, I didn’t.

THE PROBLEM! Too much accessories!

The solution! Two-Sided Organizer Bags 🙂

This is how your stuff will look once you place them here.

Then, you can hang it freely on your closet! Such a space saver on your cabinet too! ♥♥♥

Ethnic Madness

One of the many things I adore in this world are EARRINGS! From the normal up to the weirdest ones! I had a huge collection and early last year I made a difficult decision. And that is to sell my earrings collection. Not all of them were sold because I gave some of it to my Dubai friends. I am a firm believer that if you want someone to remember you, you must give them a part of you that’s special.

Lately, I practiced being a minimalist when it comes to accessorizing. However, when my sister and I were looking for some Christmas gift at St. Francis Square in Mandaluyong City, I came over this unique shop. I have never seen such lovely and oh-so-ethnic accessories. My eyes were glued on a particular weird earring.

Pair # 1 The upside down pink wooden earring: Who would not fall for this Beyonce type earring? If you are just wearing a plain black dress or a white tee, making this a partner will turn you into a head turner! (I am super hooked on this one, I am wearing it right at this very moment)

So, I thought that was it! But wait, there’s more! I saw another one!

Pair # 2 The armored earring: Ready for battle? If Cleopatra was alive, she would love this one I am sure. Wearing this on a formal occasion with your pearl necklace is no failure!

Done! I talked to the saleslady and said I would pay for it, while waiting for my change, my head will not stop turning. My sister just sat down a chair because she knows deep in her heart she can’t stop me from shopping earrings. And my eyes became bigger as laid my eyes on…

Pair # 3 The Mother of Pearl: Talk about shells and all that stuff, I can imagine myself walking in the finest sands, with colorful dress, the wind on my shoulder and these dangling earrings on my ears of course. So to close the deal, I ended up buying 3 pairs. I didn’t feel any guilt! These are additions to my wonderful collection. NOW, I changed my mind, I will not sell the remaining earrings that I have, I will keep them for real!

And just when you thought it’s really over??? IT”S NOT!

I got two new additions to my ethnic madness. I decided to buy myself a new year’s gift.

A funky bracelet that states “INSPIRE”. I chose this one since it will set as a reminder that I must be a good example so that I can continue to be a blessing to other people lives.

Last, a reggae anklet which will constantly remind of Bob Marley and the saying “Don’t worry, be happy”.

So what did you get for yourself this 2012?

Hua Mulan, the comb that changed my life

Three years ago, every waking moment of my life, I can’t count the loose hairstrands on my pillow. Hairfall, was one big problem. I have tried all things when it comes to taking good care of my hair… coconut shampoo, shampoo only every other day, use a silk pillowcase, the list goes on and still, my hair keeps detaching from my scalp. 😦

Then came a day when I was strolling along SM Megamall when I stumbled upon a store named HUA MULAN: combs and accessories. It was a haven of fine combs, the best part? all are made of wood! The saleslady was explaining their product and I listened carefully. She said something I will never forget “Maam, nakakalessen yan ng hairfall” (in english, “Maam, it lessens hairfall”) Kaboom! The moment she said the magic word, I knew I had to get one for myself. I can’t help but easily fall in love with this cute addition in my kikay kit.

Three years and I am still using it, call me a bit crazy or what but I feel incomplete without this comb. I can’t leave the house if it’s not inside my bag or purse. There are even times when I thought I lost it and I will search endlessly until I find it again. Consequently, the saleslady was right! I said good bye to my hairfall problems maybe after 2 months after I bought it. I am so contented with this product and I can say it will never be a waste of money. Trust me, you can even quote me on this “Hua Mulan combs are the worlds finest combs” on earth.

Just the other day, while I was shopping for some Christmas presents, the same store caught my attention again. I told myself, maybe after three years of using it, I deserve another one. True enough, the urge was too strong to fight, within minutes, I was asking my sister to help me choose a different style. And now, I got another one with a handle. After some time, my sister said she wanted the same comb that I bought to be her gift. Since I will not give her my new comb in any way, I just got her a new one! Now my sister will be as happy as me for sure! Thank you so much Hua Combs, my hair problems were all long gone.

To all of you who’s reading this, it’s just not about hairfall but more of taking good care of your crowning glory. Go and visit this stores below! Purchase one for yourself and do not forget to like their page in Facebook.
