Great time at Joyce’s Diner and Joaquin’s Bed & Breakfast

Last week, we went to Tagaytay to celebrate my sister passing the Nursing Licensure Examination 2012 and my Dad’s birthday. All restaurants were full so we decided to look for alternatives.

The name of this restaurant caught the eye of my sister Lily Rose (Ehem, it was named after me) JOYCE’S DINER AND JOAQUIN’S BED & BREAKFAST. So we parked for a while and checked out the food availability. The two ladies who assisted us were so nice, we decided to dine in the place within 2 minutes. Besides, I was really hungry and so many things were running in my head that time, I wanted some clean air to breathe into.

When I walked in, I was awed by the beauty of the place! SO VINTAGE! From wooden floors and tables, cute lamps and lights, colored sayings and old clocks! Everything in this place was adorable. Plus their over looking space was very neat. They have benches and a wooden swing outside. (I spent most of the time posing in all areas, just scroll down so you would believe me, haha!).

The food tasted great, if you will notice, I was not able to photograph the food well because when they were served, I was the first one to indulge. I loved their Kare-Kare, Mom agreed that they tasted good. The waiters and waitresses were all attentive, if you ask for something, you will get it as soon as possible. Mom gave them a tip, and I gave them a separate one too.

***ONE GREAT THING about this restaurant, the MUSIC was so good, they have reggae songs on their playlist!***

GIVING THEM 5 STARS! Next time you are headed to Tagaytay, drop by their place  to experience it for yourself.

 My diner? 🙂

 Entrance, loved the wooden theme!

And they have a wonderful aquarium.

A view from the balcony, Taal Lake.

Our family, so happy to have them always!

I am the smallest, need to step up!

Well, I wanted a solo picture here, but Sisters Rose and Kriss did not let me have it. 😦

Reminds me of the Kite Runner book cover.

Dad and Mom, always in love.

Then again, I know nothing.

Jamba Juice and Slice with good friends

My friends and I love to eat, and thus we agreed to check out restaurants once in a while. Last Friday, we visited Jamba Juice and Slice at the The Fort.

First stop: Jamba Juice

Follow them on Twitter and don’t forget to Like on Facebook!

Looking for a healthy way to indulge? You got the right place! It’s my first time to try this out and I will come back, actually, we all agreed to come back. Why? They have the best smoothies in town and the place was so cute. The ambiance was sooooo fruity and they have the coolest way of ordering. They have this little number tags that beeps up when your smoothie/order is ready.

The menu, please check out their main site for the complete menu.

Jude and Anna waiting for their turn.

Alex ordering, look at how the staff smiled! Ear to ear and so happy! I love happy people.

Anna, Alex and myself.

1. 4’11” 1/2 feet

2. Coffee runs in my blood most of the time (but I adore fruit stuff as well)

3. Uhmm, happiness boost?

Pretzels, though we didn’t try them. We are so hungry we needed something heavier than these, next time 🙂

Lovely wall isn’t it?

Fresh and clean-looking place.

It all started with a blender…

And it made us happy! (If you notice, I am holding the ***beeping*** thing I was telling you earlier.

My order is up!

Our orders were perfect: Alex and I had Strawberries Wild, Anna tried the Coldbuster and lastly Jude had her share of Chocolate Moo’d.

Thank you so much Jamba Juice for my delicious smoothie!

Satisfied? YES!!!

Second Stop: Slice

One of our dear friend suggested that we try this restaurant as well. Thank goodness we followed her advised. Our hungry stomachs can’t wait to have a taste of their food. This time, we indulged in pasta and burger (if I was not mistaken). Sorry I was not able to jot down the names of the food, I was so hungry when the food arrived, I gave in.

Lights attract me the most in restaurants, I am not sure why.

Look at these sofas! Love!

Excuse me? Lol! Our food is not yet ready so better take photos! Thank you so much Jude for the mini pictorial!

Anna’s left at the table? Where is everyone? 🙂

Ohhh! So Jude was busy looking at cakes…

I was busy looking at wall arts…

And taking photos of anything 🙂

Clean and long tables! Perfect!

Happy Feet!

With our Food! Forgot the names but ALL OF THEM tastes so good! Worth the price I can say. We are giving them 5 out of 5 stars! 🙂

Alex is one HAPPY and satisfied customer! Even had a take out, and look at that eco-friendly paper bag!

AGAIN, JAMBA JUICE and SLICE are both must-tries! Plus they are beside each other! ♥
