Compliments are always lovely. When a person receives one, a smile automatically forms. Just a simple “You’re shoes look fab!” make me all giddy.

Out of all the good things I heard, one stood out. I was at work then, so I spent some time talking to my colleagues before the shift started. We exchanged short stories about life in general. Then one said, “You know what, I want my son to marry someone like you. For sure you’ll make a great wife”. For a minute I can’t seem to speak. Not sure how to respond so I just muttered a small “Thank You”. But deep inside I want to sit down, talk to her some more and ask her how can she say that. I am too stunned to speak, I want to jump up and down, tell her it was the greatest thing I have heard but I am too shy (at that moment) lol 🙂

This happened four years ago and I still want to know the reason behind her words. Should I go and ask her? Not sure if she remembers the conversation though.

How busy can one get during December

image

This is the month where you don’t know how to squeeze in all the events in a month. Christmas party here, dinner there and exchange gifts everywhere. How can one decline invitations from special people? Family, relatives, friends and old friends? Plus, add some volunteer work, time for Christmas shopping, and fixing “monito monitas”. I have arranged five sets of exchange gifts. (sorry for being so active in everything, I do not know where to place my energy, Lol!)

Well, this is my favorite time of the year. So I am really excited to wake up each day and make the most out of it.

Hoping everyone will have a busy BUT fun December!

Seven things about myself? Hmmm… this is hard, coz’ I can state a lot! (I am such a chatterbox!) Here we go.

1. I don’t like it when a person reply with a “K” except for my parents (since they explained it’s easier for them to type a single letter instead of “okay”). I mean, usually a reply has 160 characters, now tell me what’s the use of the remaining 159?

2. When I was in grade school  I broke my uncle’s lamination machine because I insisted that he laminate 5 purple fresh flowers I picked from the sidewalk (I need it for my prayer diary and I wanted it to be special.)

3. Believe it or not, I have more than 200 pair of earrings. I have not worn the others up to this time. What’s weird is I still find myself writing them on top of my wish list during Christmas season. If I ran out of food, I would wish I can chew them up.

4. Aside from stars, I adore animal printed things.

5. Self-obsession, major at that.

6. Life without lemon iced tea would be so sad and bad.

7. Daydreaming can be added to my hobbies if it will be considered as one.

Too many things at a time

Sometimes I think I am running out of time. I am not sure why though. Maybe I am thinking too fast and there are times I want to do five things at a time. I need a break, I need to breathe and I need to take a sip of piña collada. So now, I am giving myself a break, 1 hour a day to envision things and how I can make them better. Please give yourselves a break too. Let’s savor the moment and be truly happy.
