February Purple Hues

February. Love Month.

As I back track the items on my phone (because I am running out of memory), I chanced upon this Purple Day Album. Seeing this, I knew exactly what to blog.

Most of you know that I love arranging parties for friends. I do not have any background on handling events be it informal or formal but I find it exciting. Best feeling in the world is when you see the main person of the event really happy just because created an event that they can cherish forever.

Last year, same season, Karen our dear friend is about to get married (February 19, 2014). Of course as bridesmaids, Ami and I took charge in making sure we give Karen the best Bridal Shower of all time. I admit it was hard, especially the ‘inviting part’. I got in contact with her friends by asking the ladies list from Jeremy (his soon to be husband at the time). Schedules don’t seem to meet but good thing we were still able to pull it off. We ended with 5 guests, Ami, Sai, Benny, myself and Xave (Karen’s best bud and my husband now, who’s not really invited but we needed someone to drive us so we have no choice, lol. Benny is the only one who’s supposed to be exempted).

Original plan was to have brunch at 14 Four Cafe in Taytay Rizal however, it was closed for a personal event. Plan B here we come! Ami and I talked for a while and decided that we can have Xave drive and we can just visit Regina Rica then do the mini program at a nearby coffee shop.

Regina Rica would always be one of the top places to visit when you are in Tanay Rizal. Since the big day is coming up, we want Karen of course to be spiritually ready. Praying helps, all the time. 🙂

Afterwards, we headed to The Daily Beans Coffee Lounge and Restaurant that was suggested by my sister-in-law. To date, I have been in this coffee shop for more than 5 times, that’s how I loved their coffee plus, they serve good pasta, believe me since I am not a pasta lover (that means it’s really yummy for me to like it) 🙂

Felt like this was our lucky day! Fortunately the closed area was vacant so we were able to use it for a our short surprise program. Ami searched for a few games online and I tell you, they were pretty fab! We had a game where in we needed to create a wedding dress out of tissue rolls. Guess what? Our team didn’t win! Haha! We also suprised her with a scrapbook full of messages from her female friends and loved ones. Gift giving and short message giving for the soon to be bride bought the house down. It was a day full of laughter and tears as well.

A successful day for our first Bridal Shower Party but we are not yet done for the day. For our last activity, we headed to Binangonan Recreation and Conference Center and challenged ourselves – Bowling time! After that, we called it a night!

Halfway there July!

Hello there loves! 16 days had passed and I am uber happy that this month was full of nothing but great memories. Last Sunday was jam-packed! We started it by visiting the Quezon Memorial Circle. It was my first time to visit this place and I truly enjoyed it. Walking and biking has never been this fun! How come I only knew this place now? I’m turning 28 soon, haha!

After that we headed straight to Las Villas Del Cielo where we celebrated our birthdays together! Amie, Ampy, Alexa and I 🙂 Thank you so much to all our friends especially Gen and Ampy for taking good care of everything. Sorry if I kept on swimming the entire time.

Lots of food choices! I had a hard time choosing what to eat. From rice, viands, Amber’s barbecue and all that!

By 1:30 P.M. after the heavy rain, I headed next to “Truth Hurts and Other Lies of Non-Fiction”. Jona, Dredd, Kirby, Shine and I attended the event together.

Yes, yes, my cells are full of energy. After the quick talk, I headed straight home to  Binangonan to prepare a small dinner for my friends. So here’s the funny story, my dearest girl friends Ghel, Jambi and Bham knows I am aware of surprises(most of the time I am the leader of parties and all that). So I saw this cake on the dinner table and I asked my sissy (the girl wearing white, upper left hand corner) to whom the cake was for. She said it was for Cla so I didn’t mind. Before dinner started my two friends said “Wait, blow your cake first”, I was like, “Sorry but the cake is not for us” and then they started laughing. Turned out IT WAS FOR ME! And yes, I was really surprised. I believed my sister when she said it was not for me. I didn’t even bother to check the dedication on the cake since I was busy preparing our food. 🙂 I was at a lost for words. These friends of mine really caught me off guard. I bet my expression was priceless, my jaw literally dropped opened. All I said in the end was “You got me there, thank you so much for the cake”.

Unfortunately the night has to end and two of my friends are working the following day. We said our goodbyes after our small photo op. Thank you so much to my ever patient sissy who took our photos.

Another Sunday well spent! How was yours?

Trick or Treat Us!

If last year I was pink fairy, this year I decided to be a witch because I feel like one, kiddin! 🙂 Just wanted to try something dark. So I wore my favorite purple with gold dots skirt and asked my sister to buy me a witch hat. My sister on the other hand opted to stick with a scary mask so she can scare kids, haha! My nieces dressed up as black witch, joker, Woody and Little Mermaid. We had fun, since there were candies (love gummy worms), cute cakes, photobooth, magics and games. Justine as Woody won the best drawing award while her lil’ sister Thania won the cutest award.

To all of my friends and loved ones, happy trick or treat, will be buying candies later and share them to my team. Already feel like Santa, also super excited for November 1, Christmas tree building time!

Em is now a lady!

When a girl turns 18th, she’s on her way to becoming a full-grown young lady. Last week, we were able to witness Em’s transformation. Her brother NJ also celebrated his birthday, weeee! Talk about double events! I can’t help but think how old I am, before Em used to be so young and most of the time, my sisters will play with her and her siblings Hershey and MJ. They said they don’t want to approach me because I might talk to them in English! Errr… did I talk too much English back then? You guys are funny!

The cute cute cakes for EM and NJ! Happy birthday to you ♫

Sweets for my sweet tooth, sugar for my honey!

Those yellow flowers! 🙂

The stage, looks like she’s having a concert, haha!

Waiting for the party to start, can I just say the place was so lovely? The motif suits Em.

My NueveD waited for me to upload this photo over twitter, “Girls, I so love this birthday gift of yours, it fits me well, feeling so fly like a G6, haha!”

Everything happens in the comfort room, make up retouch, wacky poses, sisterhood bonding.

Yep, got burned, first aid? Running water for 10 minutes and I also got to meet this awesome twins! They sing very well!

Sweets always!

The Contreras Family ♥ Em wore her first gown for the night, light pink and lady like.

This purple peacock inspired dress WOWED me, envious because I am thinking of having a peacock wedding dress, lol.

I was part of the 18 candles, I have this speech in mind but I didn’t expect the program would be so different. Not so old school, more like playing a game and the three of us above ended up modeling.

Sisters Rose and Kriss danced the night away, haha!

I shared before that I have a thing with lights and ceilings. Look at this closely, they are made of water bottles! Oh crafts! LOVE IT! They look so beautiful above but I think I was the only one who noticed them? 😦

Mom gave her birthday wishes 🙂

Of course, 18 roses and Dad’s will always be the first dance.

Em wore her last gown for the night, chic and classy! ***She’s thanking all the people who attended her concert, lol!***

How can I forget to introduce the wonderful and energetic emcee? Please meet Mr. Bobby Galang. He made all the gowns and suits worn by Contreras Family. (He is trusted, he makes fabulous gowns, all types! He organized my brother’s wedding).

The event place, please visit their Facebook Page if your interested : Sweet Harmony Gardens

Souvenirs? Perfumes! Choose your own scent!

It’s tiring to walk in heels all night, but I can’t help to pose near christmas trees, big lanterns and the LOVE word 🙂

Bonding moments with friends and sisters at the party.

***There are times when you can’t find me anywhere… first thing to check, the photobooth! I guarantee you, you’ll see me there***

Thank you Treasured Memories ♥

Em, though we were part of the 18 candles, we were not able to deliver our messages, so we decided to make a short video! We enjoyed the party! Thank you for inviting The Aralars!
