#PrayForThePhilippines Year 2

It was the same month last year when I posted these blog entries (Part 1, Part 2, Part 3). Yes I always get teary eyed when I see homeless people especially the elderly and newborn facing the cold struggle. Looks like history has a way of repeating itself. As much as possible I do not want to watch/read the news because it upsets me. BUT these are the times I know I can help, the power of social media are very visible during these times. I am sending all my prayers to those who are in the evacuation center and have nothing to eat or to keep them dry.

Silence under destruction #PrayForThePhilippines

Around 7:30 in the morning, I accompanied my grandma in her usual morning walks. The aftermath was in front of my eyes. I do not want to believe it but it was there, naked and quiet. The submerged houses, the blank stares of people, the well-lighted lamp-post, the wet road seemed to bring a sense of hopelessness. Do not get me wrong, I know how strong we are as a country, but if you saw what transpired and think about the lost lives, it can and it does bring tears to a mournful heart.

The pictures that I am about to share were all taken in one area, Ugong Pasig City where I am staying during work days with my Grandma. I know that this is nothing compared to other areas, but the fact that its flooded, it’s worth sharing.

Non-stop rain for 2 weeks #PrayForThePhilippines

Since last week, our dearest country has suffered from non stop rains brought by Typhoon Gener. When I talk about rains, rain in the morning, afternoon, evening and dawn that caused floods in all areas. I do not know how I can help at this very moment but maybe sharing these pictures that I got from my online community will raise awareness that we are now in a critical state. Please pray for our country, it will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Prayers can always move mountains, I am a believer.
