February Purple Hues

February. Love Month.

As I back track the items on my phone (because I am running out of memory), I chanced upon this Purple Day Album. Seeing this, I knew exactly what to blog.

Most of you know that I love arranging parties for friends. I do not have any background on handling events be it informal or formal but I find it exciting. Best feeling in the world is when you see the main person of the event really happy just because created an event that they can cherish forever.

Last year, same season, Karen our dear friend is about to get married (February 19, 2014). Of course as bridesmaids, Ami and I took charge in making sure we give Karen the best Bridal Shower of all time. I admit it was hard, especially the ‘inviting part’. I got in contact with her friends by asking the ladies list from Jeremy (his soon to be husband at the time). Schedules don’t seem to meet but good thing we were still able to pull it off. We ended with 5 guests, Ami, Sai, Benny, myself and Xave (Karen’s best bud and my husband now, who’s not really invited but we needed someone to drive us so we have no choice, lol. Benny is the only one who’s supposed to be exempted).

Original plan was to have brunch at 14 Four Cafe in Taytay Rizal however, it was closed for a personal event. Plan B here we come! Ami and I talked for a while and decided that we can have Xave drive and we can just visit Regina Rica then do the mini program at a nearby coffee shop.

Regina Rica would always be one of the top places to visit when you are in Tanay Rizal. Since the big day is coming up, we want Karen of course to be spiritually ready. Praying helps, all the time. 🙂

Afterwards, we headed to The Daily Beans Coffee Lounge and Restaurant that was suggested by my sister-in-law. To date, I have been in this coffee shop for more than 5 times, that’s how I loved their coffee plus, they serve good pasta, believe me since I am not a pasta lover (that means it’s really yummy for me to like it) 🙂

Felt like this was our lucky day! Fortunately the closed area was vacant so we were able to use it for a our short surprise program. Ami searched for a few games online and I tell you, they were pretty fab! We had a game where in we needed to create a wedding dress out of tissue rolls. Guess what? Our team didn’t win! Haha! We also suprised her with a scrapbook full of messages from her female friends and loved ones. Gift giving and short message giving for the soon to be bride bought the house down. It was a day full of laughter and tears as well.

A successful day for our first Bridal Shower Party but we are not yet done for the day. For our last activity, we headed to Binangonan Recreation and Conference Center and challenged ourselves – Bowling time! After that, we called it a night!

Where is Daraitan Falls?

Hi everyone! Summer 2013 was very memorable for me, again, I was not able to fulfill my dreams of staying at home to finish all my books. My friends and I went to visit Daraitan Falls last April 14, thanks girls for coming with me 🙂 The trip wouldn’t be uber fun without you.

Tinapak River (2)The heat was unbelievable but we are ready to conquer the day. We met the Barangay Captain of the area, thank you sir for welcoming us (kiddin’, he was really there before we came, having a talk with their barangay members). All foods ready! Let’s walk then!

Tinapak River (3) I can’t imagine there’s a place like this near our province. It was amazing like the other places I have been to. Okay, so here’s the real deal, when I invited my friends, I told them it was Daraitan Falls. Little did I know, it’s called Tinapak River and the Tinapak Falls was destroyed by Typhoon Ondoy last 2009. So that was like, 4 years ago!!! I cannot forget their faces when our tour guide explained that. Still, Tinapak River can be found at Daraitan… so they are still connected right? Haha!

Tinapak River (4) The whole group while taking a rest… our tourist guide, CK, Jude, Amie, Anna, Hilda, Ampy and Gen.

Tinapak River (5)A little adventure? Yes, we had that! And if you want one, why not visit the place?

Tinapak River (6) You can’t get to the other side without getting wet. 🙂

Tinapak River (7) First things first, SWIM!!! Oh the heat was really on! The river was a great place to swim and cool down. It was green, clear and inviting.

Tinapak River (8) Lunchtime girls! Overwhelming food, how can we finish these?

Tinapak River (9) So much for rock formations, I want to have a pictorial at every stone I see. They are all so white and pretty! We spent most of the time swimming, eating, exchanging stories and laughing.

Tinapak River (10)Our happiness was overwhelming, Hilda even bought a cake for this special event! FREEDOM at it’s finest.

Tinapak River (11)Yep, I can jump of a cliff whenever I want to. My legs always shake before I do these things, but I can’t let them pass. My blood calls for adrenaline 🙂

Tinapak River (12) The Megastar Ampy sitting on top of the cliff… this was the only place where you can find a signal for Globe.

Tinapak River (13) Look how clear and clean the water is!

Tinapak River (14) Gen, floating 🙂

Tinapak River (15) Anna, Jude, Amie and Gen having a real good time talking about some stuff.

Tinapak River (16) View from a far, I swam to the other side just for this shot. Time to get mushy… when I saw them so happy, just chillin’, I can’t thank the Lord above for giving me such kind and soulful friends. These girls helped me a lot when I needed them. Those times when I felt life was draining me to pieces, they were there. When I needed encouragement, they were there and they never left my side. Up to now, I can’t thank them enough, I just love this group.

Tinapak River (17) One of my fave picture, it was hard to achieve since I need to swim against the current. I see that it’s worth it.

Tinapak River (18) Spell F-U-N!!!

Tinapak River (19) Whohoooo! I made this! I am proud of myself, haha! My very first rock formation! Lol!

Tinapak River (20) Now it’s time to head back to the barangay…

Tinapak River (21)

Rocks rocks rocks, rocks everywhere!

Tinapak River (22)We fit the holes perfectly 🙂

Tinapak River (23)To those who want to visit, the Daraitan Road is a long one, just continue driving until you reach this bridge. If I remember it right, we asked 5 times where’s Daraitan, they all just pointed “straight ahead”, lil’ did we know it was a long long way down there.

Tinapak River (24)Of course, a trip would not be complete without visiting Vista Barista Cafe. A stop over all tourists must try! Coffees, pasta and cakes were affordable and they tasted so good. Hoping the next time I visit, I will be able to speak and have a few words with the owner.

Tinapak River (25)

Since it was Sunday, we also visited Baras Church.

Tinapak River (26) We even met the Parish priest who opened the doors of the Church for us. Thank you thank you Father, you are blessed!

Tinapak River (27)

A perfect way to close the night, videoke baby! After that, some left… Hilda and Gen slept at my room 🙂

So where exactly is Daraitan Falls? It’s in my heart.

Near the horizon at Punta de Fabian

Earlier this year, during the month of love, my group of friends and I visited Punta de Fabian located in Tanay Rizal. We opted to travel some where near because of time constraints. We just actually took the day tour instead of the overnight. Since most of us are working during this time, our schedules would not meet. Too bad, but hey, we would rather spend a day with each other rather than not going. The ultimate goal is for us to bond and have a good time.

This was us before leaving my place. If you will notice, Jhong is not yet on the picture. She was late, tsk tsk, just kiddin. It does not matter at all, as long as she arrives. (L-R Jambi, Levy, Mafel, myself, Ghel, Sheera and Bham).

It was not so far from our area since we just live within Rizal as well, maybe around 35 minutes of travel time will do. I was talking to the guard in this picture. Excited!

First thing we did was sit and take thousands of pictures! When I say thousands, all the poses and smirks you can think about. Forgive our vanity but this is how we do it! Haha! (L-R Mafel, Levy, Bham, myself, Jhong, Ghel, Jambi and Sheera)

So this is our version of Jejemon pose!

I do not know what I was doing here! So funny, caught in the act. But even Jambi and Sheera has weird expressions here, I wonder what we were talking about.

Overlooking infinity pool, pretty right? And I tell you, the place is really situated in a high area. The cool wind was refreshing.

I know that the tripod is taller than me! No need to comment on that!

I am feeling my red top! It flows with the wind.

My neneng pose.

Our telenovela group shot entitled, “Be happy”.

Here’s another one, entitled “Wala lang”

We look so young in this pic, not sure why but maybe because of our smiles and Bham’s smooch! 🙂

Mafel, she can be a model of Bayo.

Jhong, cast of dwarfina!

Cool as her shades.

Jambi’s taking some time to dip in the pool.

Sheera, the voluptuous one.

Ghel sitting nicely with a great background behind her.

Did I say red lipstick? Yes Levy, said so.

Jhong is looking cute in her white dress.

Now Mafel can be a model of Kamiseta.

Bham shouted pink and shades in this photo.

The long legged girls side by side.

Our lovely group shot overlooking Tanay Rizal.

Shades of grey.

The main building.

Having some fun in the pool.

Kidding aside!

The besties, Jhong and Jambi.

A shot near our room.

Taking some time to rest.

Never ever leave Sheera!

The unstoppable smile!

I caught the light!

Eating lunch, the chicken tasted good.

Merienda time.

Sandwich for all of us.

This was the chicken I was talking about earlier.

They are always on the news.

The dining area.

Ready for buffet, anyone?

Time to be wacky!

With Twinkie on the road.

With Bluemagic 🙂

We closed the event by drinking coffee at Starbucks SM Taytay.
