Always known as a shopaholic broke and somewhat proud of it, yes, the award goes to me. I accept it with all my heart. Last June 15, 2012 two of my friends invited me to the grand opening of UniQlo. A famous brand from Japan, which is similar to Forever 21 Boutique. After shift we headed straight to the Mall of Asia so we can line up immediately and head home as soon as possible. I said to myself, “I will only buy a shirt or polo shirt for my Dad since it’s Father’s day on Sunday”… kept the mantra to myself as we lined up. It was 11 in the morning and WOW oh WOW, the line was so loooooooong. We waited for almost 1 hour and 30 minutes just to get inside. I was in line thinking, this store better be good or else I will hate myself for lining up and it felt like eternity. Good thing about it was that I came with friends and we did the non stop chit-chat mode.
Finally, we were so close to the finish line… once we stepped inside first thing I noticed was the crew. Everyone was so nice, a Japanese man was giving baskets with a smile. The sales ladies and sales men were all young and active, shouting at the top of their lungs promoting the type of products they were assigned too. Kudos to that! If you need help, they will attend to you ASAP, talk about great customer service. Since the number of people were controlled, you can move freely and choose within their wide array of products. Everything caused my heart to melt. If only I was so rich, I will buy every design with different colors.
Back to my mantra… it was of course, useless! In the end, I found myself carrying 4 garments, 1 polo for my Dad (hope he will like it when I give it to him tomorrow) 2 polo shirts for me and 1 Barbie t-shirt. All in all, my bill was more than Php 2000.00 that came with a free tote bag! Weeee! Goodies I love!
Long lines? EAT first, like what we did! 🙂

Now I understood the long lines… people nowadays care for quality and that means UNIQLO. Their designs are sleek and simple, can be worn day and night, for office and gimiks, name it they have it. Any shopaholic can die at the sight of this store, make sure your cash and ever-loving credit cards are by your side for when the shopping gets tough, your credit card limits should be higher!
